Here is a photo that is very special to me. It was taken in a little village on the west coast of Ireland called Roundstone. My grandfather and his family came from this very picturesque town on the atlantic coast. It is known for it's lovely people, beautiful town, good food, traditional music and culture, the best bodhran's in all of Ireland, a harbor that dries out completely at low tide, and that Sting used to own a house there.
Gothenburg Sunset - [200mm f4 1000s iso100]
I like this composition because there is something happening in the foreground, then the shoreline sweeps you through the picture and the row of houses takes you to the pier. The pier then curves around to keep you in the frame. What I can do next time I'm there is take the photo at dusk on a clear day and use a long shutter speed to calm the water down a bit.
Another photo that I'd like to show you is this great closeup of the sunset behind the Liseberg themepark in Gøteborg, Sweden. It was taken with the sun just on the edge of the frame and a bit of haze in the atmosphere. This golden light flowed over everything and even though I was in a hurry to get somewhere I had to stop and take the time to capture it.
